Vertical Catalyst Business Advisors is an independent Texas business brokerage founded by Zach Sanchez. We help owners prepare for and sell their businesses, and help buyers navigate purchasing an existing business — with direct, personal attention and confidentiality at each step. We work with owners and buyers across many kinds of businesses — restaurants, retail, automotive, franchises, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, home services and trades, and many others.

Zach has worked in Texas real estate since 2012, bringing experience in client service, marketing, and negotiation to his brokerage work. That experience is distinct from business brokerage: in this firm, his focus is on helping owners and buyers through the practical steps of a business sale or purchase, from first conversation through closing.

Working in Partnership

Vertical Catalyst works in partnership with Benchmark Business Brokers, an established San Antonio business brokerage led by Paul Sanchez. That relationship gives our clients an experienced brokerage network behind the scenes, while Vertical Catalyst remains an independent Texas firm working directly with its own clients.

Background and Vision

Zach holds a B.A. in Public Relations with a minor in Business from Texas State University. His work has included residential real estate, leasing, marketing, business development, and client advisory work — experience he brings to every conversation with owners and buyers. He has developed his business brokerage practice by learning from experienced professionals in the field, including his father, Paul Sanchez of Benchmark Business Brokers.

Our vision is to build a Texas advisory firm that combines traditional brokerage expertise with practical, technology-driven growth solutions — helping owners build value, grow, and exit on their own terms. Over time, we plan to grow into larger transactions and broader M&A advisory work, while keeping the same direct, personal approach.
